(In the past, they would contain and let the virus burn itself out of the infected area) Intensive medical care is important, but it is given only to patients in isolation units. We know that the virus is being spread primarily by those who are unwilling or unable to go to an Ebola Treatment Unit, so as bad as it is being reported to be...it is actually much worse because the numbers are of those being reported in these units?<br />To me, one of the most troubling things about the current strain is the fact that it is somehow infecting medical professionals who 'know' how to protect themselves...the three American who have been returned to the States, ETC. Like so many things taking place with our National leadership, there are too many questions without answers? This is why we need to slow down on sending 3000 healthy US citizens into this hot zone. It appears to be breaking containment...but then again we are not sure where the virus is actually or where it will be tomorrow? There are 2 in the pipeline and I know that at least one is beginning clinical trials in humans.
