I loved Roller coaster Tycoon, Motocross madness, Riven, Myst, Age of Empires, Command and Conquer, and the first I can remember is that pinball game (cant remember the name).

90's computer game for me was Castles II: Siege and Conquest. You got to build castles, create armies, make allies, and try to take over the country.

I'll go back a little further and name the Adventures of Captain Comic (or just Captain Comic) from 1988. An MS DOS game which was one of the first "freeware" games to exceed what was available for purchase at the time. Of course this was well before Windows. I spent many hours in the dorm at Kunsan South Korea figuring out how to beat it. FYI: It can still be played online at http://www.classicdosgames.com/online/ccomic5.html

One of the first graphic RTS's out there. The Ancient Art of War by Broderbund....amazing game that uses mechanics that even today's games have yet to utilize. Even the sequel, Ancient Art of War at Sea was pretty cool too. Granted, the graphics are dated, but the gameplay was stellar. I spent countless hours as a kid play those games in the mid 80's. I have not played the second sequel, Ancient Art of War in the Skies.

From the 90s? I'd have to say Diablo II. Currently my favorite PC game is Arma III.

I just wish I could afford a gaming PC. My laptop won't charge and could barely play World of Tanks anyway.

System Shock 2 from 1999 and No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way from 2002. You can get System Shock 2 from both Steam and GOG, but NOLF 2 is not available for digital purchase. Nobody knows for sure who owns the rights.
