I spent 5 awesome years in San Antonio and loved every minute if it. The duty was great and the city is a lot of fun. Ft Leavenworth bills itself as the "Best Home Town in the Army" with good reason. I know a lot of Officers who came here as MAJs to attend CGSC and then returned after they retired because there are lots of jobs, the schools both on post and in the surrounding towns are outstanding and you are close enough to the big city to go there when you want.
