What should I expect now that my 17C packet has been accepted?

I am currently overseas in Qatar and my DEROS date has been pushed back from March to June. My 17C packet has been approved but I have not had a chance to talk to my career counselor since that happened. I am currently still on assignment to Ft.Drum and am wondering how that will affect me. My unit also wants me to IPCOT because of COVID-19, if I do that how will it affect my ability to reclass? Any information or advice would be helpful

Do you have a school date? If you were picked up for a reclass I would not extend, you need to go to school and get qualified. If you recieved orders to drum prior to being accepted it may change. You need to get ahold of someone soon. You need to be going TDY enroute to school and then your next duty station.

Send your acceptance letter to your Career Counselor. They will get you a school date as long as your branch is willing to release you from your assignment. Once you have a class date, your CC will ensure your DEROS is lined up with your school date.
