If you’re assigned to a 3/5 slice you could be attached to a maneuver unit as a direct support asset. In my first unit it I was with the engineers we did a lot of minor repairs and services. It was also combat engineers before I got there so there was still a lot of infantry stuff that we were doing. In my second unit we do a lot more repairs on the guns and maintain those. So I do more maintenance stuff with them. Again it all depends and the unit and the command staff. If the commad staff does not have maintenance as a priority you might not do a whole lot of wrenching.
