As for your chances, that is going to depend on how the exam goes at the consult. What can you expect is that you will arrive to the appointment, you will get the exam. You may be told of the results at that time....or not. The doctor will report the results to MEPS. MEPS will go from there. Good luck. Eyes are tricky things and there are many variables that will determine whether your left eye can be corrected to a standard that is minimally acceptable for the military. I wish you luck but do not get your hopes up. You’ll see the specialist. They will give an opinion and send it to MEPS. You will go back to MEPS. The MEPS doctor will review what the specialist recommended. If they say you are a go then they put in for a waiver. Waiver goes to waiver folks. You wait and see if waiver is approved. Sorry. You have to wait and see what happens at the consult. It's possible but it comes down to the doctors at your MEPS, the eye specialist, and the kind of pull your recruiter has. I hope you get it my friend, I know your struggle cause I had a similar case.
