What would be the better degree to get before leaving service and still leverage your current security clearance? 2014-10-23T13:49:11-04:00 CSM Private RallyPoint Member 290619 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Looking to the near future what degree would help you leverage your current security clearance (Secret, TOP Secret (SCI), or Classified) and do you think it could be a Resume enhancement for Future employment? I tell young folk today to go Cyber, or space satellite controller, electronic surveillance, etc ....yet there are many other options. In my field, you want a Master's in Communication or Strategic XXXXX. I am a fan of Strategic Communication but find hardly anyone in or out of the military really understands how to use the concepts well. If you to work in intel, talk off line. That said, one of the major components is Computer Science, where a Bachelors degree is the minimum that I would recommend. If you can accomplish that before your discharge date great. If you haven't started yet, give it some thought, because there are options as to how to get there. FWIW, I used Voc Rehab (VA chapter 31) to get me there, and I've been working on a regular basis for the past 10 years.
