Jessie Jones 3648729 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My husband is in the army and I just swore in last week. I leave for basic next month and have been receiving various answers about when to enroll in the MACP. Some have said ask about it in basic or AIT and some have said you can’t apply until you’re at a duty station already. How do I increase my chances of receiving the same duty station out of AIT that he’s currently stationed at? Does anyone know the correct time and process? I understand being stationed together is not a guarantee but I would like to be as proactive as possible to increase our chances. Its easiest and BEST to do it in AIT. As SOON as you get there. It has to be done on BOTH sides. You will need to notify your platoon Sgt as soon as you get to AIT that you need to be enrolled in MACP. Your spouse will also need to put in a packet through his s1. The MACP only works if both of you are enrolled and put in necessary paperwork.
