When does deployment pay start?

Will my pay for my deployment start immediately or will I have to wait a pay period before receiving my check?

which pay allowance? In general hazard pay, hostile fire pay, etc catch up the next pay cycle. Family sep has a minimum time period before it goes. Check the DFAS site for more information. If you can afford it, go take advantage of SDP unless you have a high interest debt to service.

Some pays start right away, some start on the 31st day of deployment. Depends on where you are deployed as to what pays you get. Sometimes it just takes awhile for it all to catch up in the system.

Once you deploy on Active Orders, your pay periods will be the 1st and 15th of every month. Your pay starts on the day your orders start. But, again, the pay periods are the 1st and 15th of every month

Deployment pay or AD pay cause AD pay starts the 1st day you are on orders and deployment tax free and other incentives start once you reach in country. Check with you S1

Once you are on orders your pay defaults to the same as it was for BCT and AIT. That is the 1st and 15th of each month. Your pay starts day one of what is listed on your orders so if you start duty on the 16th of May then you get paid from the 16th to the 31st and would receive your first paycheck on the 1st of June.

You should make sure that everything about your pay is correct ie rank, TIG, BAH etc prior.
