It is more realistic representation of the operational environment. I know that the new qualification started in October 2019, however when does it officially replace the previous 3 position qualification. If both are still acceptable how is it recorded on the new DA form 7822 as the old DA Form 5790-R has been replaced. When does the new Rifle/Carbine Qualification take effect?2020-01-13T21:46:38-05:00SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member5441494<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The new Carbine marksmanship qualification introduces standing position, reloading, and speed to transition between positions and targets. I remember with an M1 you had to thread your arm through the sling and so on. But, when firing an M14 you didn't have to.Response by CPL Douglas Chrysler made Jan 13 at 2020 10:30 PM2020-01-13T22:30:07-05:002020-01-13T22:30:07-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member5442310<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I believe this becomes the qualification of record 1 OCT 2020.
