As always, we will have cadet ushers and a color guard to present the colors. Since this is a graduation, I think that it'd look nice if the cadets on color guard were authorized to wear a white dress shirt instead of the issued grey dress shirt. The only time I've ever seen this be authorized was for the JROTC Military Ball. From that, I gathered that it must only be allowed during formal events. Would a graduation be categorized as a formal event/ceremony? Considering I just had this idea and I'm not at school, I wasn't able to consult my SAI about it, so I've brought it here. Since you're in JROTC it will come down to JROTC regs. I don't fault you for asking this here but I doubt many of us will know much of anything about JROTC regulations. But the military answer is: follow the regulations. What you think looks better is irrelevant. So if you can't talk to your instructors, start Googling while you wait for someone on RP who may be able to help. Good luck. I'm not sure why some Instructors choose to not follow the regulation. JROTC Cadets are only authorized to wear the gray shirt.
