Golfers! In your experience, what military base or post has the best golf course? Consider in your assessment the course itself, the upkeep , the clubhouse, driving range, food selection, pro shop, staff, golf carts, fees, membership options. etc . Who has the best golf club on post?

Golf: the willful misuse of a perfectly good rifle range. Hat tip to my good buddy Capt (Join to see)

For my money, Hawaii is where it's at. Top three: K-Bay, Navy/Marine, and Hickam. Don't bother with the Army courses, they're not any better than anything CONUS.

Never played KBay but did play the others You mention, I agree they were good. The little 9 hole at Fort Shafter and 18 at Schofield Barracks wasn't bad either but not quite as nice as the other two I mentioned playing.

gorgeous - but can't go looking for balls OOB on the dunes - the locals had 'em designated as burial grounds.

Pretty sure my ball will end up in the ocean. It does this neat trick where it'll fly straight for about 100 yards, then do a perfect 90 degree turn in the air and continue for another 100 or so yards, followed by splash (or the occasional, less pleasant, "crash"). Beautiful course though.
