Baylor's right down the road too if you ever want to see a good college game as well.Response by SPC David Willis made Feb 27 at 2018 9:33 AM2018-02-27T09:33:57-05:002018-02-27T09:33:57-05:00CPL Dave Hoover3397101<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Ft Lewis may be another good option.Response by CPL Dave Hoover made Feb 27 at 2018 9:53 AM2018-02-27T09:53:26-05:002018-02-27T09:53:26-05:00PO1 Don Gulizia3397154<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You'd have good luck in Texas, Florida, or California (in general). Every college in the country recruits in those states. Seeing that you're Army, there are some good programs here in Northern Virgina (& DC, S. Maryland) especially the private Catholic schools. (Good Counsel, DeMatha, St. John's). So, Fort Beloir, Fort Myer, Pentagon, etc would work. Based on your question, I'm assuming that he wants to play after high school. If that's the case, just make sure he plays, early...and against good competition and stands out. Also, keep his grades up (good enough to get into an Ivy league or Service Academy). If he's not being recruited by D-I early in his junior year (actual offers, not just mailings), it will be time to look elsewhere and that's where grades come into play. My son wanted to play college football, but he also wanted to major in engineering. Engineering and football don't mix at most colleges, including Ivy League programs. Check out the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. There are also some good D-II programs (Col. School of Mines, Florida Tech, etc...basically all of the state engineering schools). My boy is currently a midshipman at the USMMA (and playing football) and it was the best decision he could have made. (including to going to UPenn, which was recruiting him and flat out discouraged him from studying engineering because it would interfer with football.) Good luck.Response by PO1 Don Gulizia made Feb 27 at 2018 10:11 AM2018-02-27T10:11:16-05:002018-02-27T10:11:16-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member3397177<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Good for him and thanks for the info!Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 27 at 2018 10:18 AM2018-02-27T10:18:04-05:002018-02-27T10:18:04-05:00Capt Gregory Prickett3397260<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>In Texas, either Ft Bliss (Andress, Chapin, Del Valle, Montwood) or Ft Sam Houston (Churchill, O'Connor, Reagan).Response by Capt Gregory Prickett made Feb 27 at 2018 10:41 AM2018-02-27T10:41:33-05:002018-02-27T10:41:33-05:00CW2 Private RallyPoint Member3405900<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>JBSAResponse by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 1 at 2018 6:45 PM2018-03-01T18:45:50-05:002018-03-01T18:45:50-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member3406767<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>"West Point"Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 1 at 2018 11:48 PM2018-03-01T23:48:27-05:002018-03-01T23:48:27-05:002018-02-27T09:31:53-05:00
