After Orlando and Pensacola I had fallen in love with Florida and wanted to stay there. I thought I would be slick and put Hawaii as my first pick and Florida as second and third. I went to Hawaii.Response by PO1 William "Chip" Nagel made Apr 27 at 2014 10:30 PM2014-04-27T22:30:31-04:002014-04-27T22:30:31-04:00MSG Wade Huffman113390<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Sounds like a call to your branch manager may be in order. Timing is everything. There has to be a vacate position and you have to be in the window to move. <br /><br />I liked Hawaii so much that I applied for an in place consecutive overseas tour (IPCOT). My first one was shot down. A few months later a DISA PAC position opened up and fell into my lap. Again, timing is everything.<br /><br />Work with your assignment officer, but don't push too hard. A few well placed hints may work better than daily pestering.Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 28 at 2014 10:57 AM2014-04-28T10:57:04-04:002014-04-28T10:57:04-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member113942<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Nope, I been trying to get Hawaii and I'm a 42A.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 28 at 2014 7:32 PM2014-04-28T19:32:29-04:002014-04-28T19:32:29-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member197313<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Wow, I just put it a COT and my branch manager approve it.
