I had to go to a VFW Veteran Service Officer for help with my Agent Orange claim. They have chosen not to. Latest was in 2018. It passed the House 382-0, but was blocked by 2 Republicans, Mike Enzi of Wyoming and Mike Lee of Utah, who used a parliamentary procedure that prevented further action.
The VA fought the latest Bill, fearing $6B over next ten years. VA has fought to keep the numbers down, and have taken an adversarial approach, rather than one of advocacy. In fact, they had to be ordered to provided Veterans denied compensation, the information requires to appeal.
Notable, Congress has approved hundreds of millions of dollars for clean up operations in Vietnam.
Burn Pits will be this generation's Agent Orange. The fight, denial by VA, and failure to act by Congress will remain the same.
