Will a notification of QMP stop a Unit Separation Board?

A date has note been set for the Unit Separation Board. Both are for the GOMOR I received in September.

Probably not. Both should continue, especially if a board date hasn't been set, never mind conducted yet.

I don't see why a QMP notification will stop a Unit separation board, is to different process and it could be different out come from either one

If you are the subject talk to legal and let them know you want to delay seperation under the unit seperation in order to be QMPed

Having recently seen a similar situation play out, I can assure you both can continue to play out pending your Commanders intent. I would ask to be allowed to ETS under QMP happen quickly as it may result in a better discharge than what your Command may seek. MAJ Miller gave the best advice. I would only add, do not seek legal assistance from within your unit. Go to the Installation JAG office. Unit JAG Officers work for the Commander, to assist Him/Her, and will not be looking out for your best interests.

It depends on the Chain of Command and how fast they take action for Unit Separation. QMP may be the best option.

what was the outcome? did you get out in time?
I was to be QMPd, then the command had HRC rescind the QMP and hosed me for misconduct, all while i was on terminal leave.
