Although I wear cowboy boots most days I occasionally wear hikers. Never thought about wearing the old black combat boots. Didn't care for them much. But last year out at the base I was looking at the new styles. And I wanted something that would give more ankle support then hikers. So I bought a pair of Rocky S2V vented military boots. Man these are comfortable boots and didn't require much of a break in period. So what do you all prefere in a military boot?

Time to make a switch, started wearing OCP so I may try something different I know Belleville makes a solid boot, but I can get two pairs for the price. I am looking at McRae or rebok

I wear Belleville 790 temperate weather combat/flight boots. I like that that they have a Gortex liner making them waterproof, and the since the laces come down farther on the foot, they don't apply pressure to the top of my foot. They are a bit warmer than hot weather boots, but I can live with that.

Oakley makes the most comfortable boot in my opinion. No break-in needed. Semi soft soles so they will not survive hiking on rocks for long periods of time.
