Workplace Stereotypes https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/workplace-stereotypes <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I've seen a lot of media discussion regarding this recent add for Pantene on 'workplace stereotypes'. I'm curious to see what the take is on the subject from the Rally Point population.<br /><br /><a target="_blank" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOjNcZvwjxI">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOjNcZvwjxI</a> Fri, 13 Dec 2013 15:26:06 -0500 Workplace Stereotypes https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/workplace-stereotypes <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I've seen a lot of media discussion regarding this recent add for Pantene on 'workplace stereotypes'. I see the same issue going the other way, too...&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;For example, if a female does it, it&#39;s flirting and/or being cute... if a male does it, it&#39;s sexual harassment... I'm not sure if my views have changed as much as what I have always seen as gender bias (not just directed at one gender) being more obvious to others. Perhaps another aspect is that we may be maturing enough as a society to tackle these types of questions. <div><br></div><div>On a personal note, I have noticed I am MUCH more aware of how women are portrayed or talked about now that I have 2 daughters and another on the way. My father was in the Navy and my mother was a strong role model for me in a lot of ways and I think seeing her taking care of my brothers and I led me to grow up with a different perspective on what a woman's role can be.</div> SSG Kenneth Hammes Sat, 14 Dec 2013 01:29:06 -0500 2013-12-14T01:29:06-05:00 Response by CW3 Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 2 at 2015 2:15 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/workplace-stereotypes?n=506963&urlhash=506963 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Can't see the video, it's been marked private.
