Would You Make The Same Decision?

Many of us joined the military right out of high school as enlisted or right out of college for commissioned officers. Knowing what you know now.
1) Would you still make the same decision?
2) Would you still choose the branch of service that you did?
3) What is your dream job in the military?

Very good question Sgt Jay Jones

1) I would actually have tried to join while I was still in High School. I might have stayed on Active Duty instead of gong into the Guard. Not positive on that though.

2) I originally thought about the Marines but I think the ARMY has a great deal of latitude after working with Marines. I think the ARMY has great opportunities. I have definitely tried to take advantage and mentor others to do the same.

3) I am not sure what the dream job is but I would prefer to be an Operator but due to my health not being superior never could get there. I am satisfied with being a Paratrooper. :)

Yes.

Absolutely.
3) What is your dream job in the military?
The one I have now - combat camera. I'm getting a salary for photographing (sometimes) awesome things in the military. I love it!

Debatable.

I would definitely still serve, but I have considered being a Navy Warrant (if I wanted to keep doing Intel) or would have gone Army still (again as a Warrant) to go Signal.

I like to train soldiers, I like to be the SME, and I like to do my job instead of sitting in meetings. I was made to be a Chief, not a Captain.

No, I would have gone in the Active Army right out of high school instead of waiting four years. I would Still have chose the U.S. Army and my dream job would have been a X-ray tech with Airborne school in route.
