I was a young Soldier with only a few years of service and had never gone to a location where everything wasn't already set up an there for us, so a big learning curve for my job and real world problems and pain. For obvious reasons this deployment was my favorite because of the following:

1. Stayed in a Outrigor Resort on Tumon Beach versus a trailer in a coalition compound, it could have been a motel 6 and still been better then coalition housing.

2. Wore normal clothes during off time.

3. Walked around at night in DT Tumon, sans reflective belts.

4. Being able to use the bathroom without leaving my room in the middle of the night was awesome.

5. The complementary breakfast was also nice every morning.

6. It was not the Deid.

That about sums it up.
