Thank you. I always get a shiver when I hear the Anthem. I must also say that there are two other songs that also get a shiver, "America the Beautiful" and, perhaps even more so, "God Bless America". If those three songs cannot move you then either you are dead or un-American.

I've just finished putting together the program for Veteran's day in Millis, Massachusetts on 11 November 2021, starting at 1100 Hrs. The Millis High School Band will be playing both the National Anthem and God Bless America during the ceremonies.

His grandson, Francis Key Howard, wrote a book, Fourteen Months in American Bastiles, about being arrested and imprisoned for fourteen months by the Lincoln administration. His first prison was Fort McHenry. He was never charged with anything.
Habeas Corpus and free speech were suspended during this period.
