Is Judge Juan Merchan helping the Democrats by speeding up the trial or by slowing it down? Both are assertions made by our former President

I make no assertions of any specific thing happening, or even things happening in general. I make no judgment on any actions or inactions.
I will simply say that if Merchan's purpose was to help the Dems or to hurt Trump the most effective way to do so would be to shoot for getting it STARTED right around 6-8 months before the election, and then KEEP IT GOING right up until either the next trial starts OR 2 weeks before the election, whichever comes first (and, or course, ensure a guilty verdict is obtained).
Keep Trump in the courtroom instead of on the campaign trail, keep him under gag order (not that this has been particularly effective), and continue to give the friendly news media chance after chance to talk shit about Trump and his ongoing trial.
So a complaint of speeding to trial earlier, and a complaint of dragging it out now would be consistent with this.
Again, not saying anyone *is* doing anything. Trials take time. Big trials (usually) take more time. Just because it is taking longer than Trump wants does not mean it is invalid.
I take NO stance on the timing of the trial's start or on how it has progressed. I merely offer my analysis of the complaint.
