How to prepare

Prerequisites
  • Rank/Grade:
  • Active Army/Marine/Air Force/Navy Officers and NCOs
  • Allied Officer and NCOs (O-1 thru O-3; E-6 thru E-8)
  • Required Schools: (Army/Marine/Air Force/Navy/Allied equivalent)
  • Completed the Basic Officer Leadership Course Branch(BOLC-B)
  • Completed Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course(BNCOC) or Advanced Leadership Course(ALC)
  • Minimum Requirements: (verified by the SQDN/BN CDR or CSM)
  • Current (within 6 months) ABN physical to attend.
  • Has a GT score of 100 or better (non-waiverable).
  • Height and weight IAW AR 600-9
  • Current passed APFT within 30 days at 17-21 year old age group
  • Completes 5 mile run in 40 mins within last 30 days
  • Completes 12 Mile foot march last 30 days
  • No temporary profiles; no duty limiting permanent profiles.
Is in or projected to a reconnaissance para/lin # or appropriate position for other MOS's.
