he U.S. Postal Service signaled plans Tuesday for a rate increase that includes hiking the cost of a first-class stamp from 68 cents to 73 cents, part of an overall 7.8% increase to take effect this summer.
The request was made to the Postal Regulatory Commission, which must approve the proposed increase that the Postal Service contends is necessary to achieve financial stability. If approved, the 5-cent increase for a “forever” stamp and similar increases for postcards, metered letters and international mail would take effect July 14.

They have less mail so they have to raise rates. Kind of like the UW university system saying they have to raise tuition because they have fewer students. It doesn't seem to occur to them they would have more students with lower tuition

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney - hate to disappoint you...I was in a management position from 1972 until 2008. In fact, at its peak, I had responsibility for 7 stores. When I wasn't in the stores, I was the Manager of Training for a nationwide company

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney I moved 14 times in my job and received 13 company wide awards for performance I'm not listing it all. I hired and fired managers as well. Hired far more than I fired., thankfully

Awards Are A Dime A Dozen And, If No Amount Of Substantial Cash Was Involved,
It Just Saved Them Some Money To Give The Recipient An Ego Boost.
They Mean "Zero" If They Don't Say ~ " Show Me the Money" ~
I Have Multiple Education Certifications, Sales Awards, And Letters Of Achievement,
None Of Which Actually Mean "Sh*t", Nor Can They Be Deposited In My Bank Account.
