Through my life, I have tried to develop my work ethics and views on government around a certain set of rules. I was excited to see a tv show which developed a character who so closely fit my idea of the perfect "work ethics" model, and also echoed my sentiments on government.
Today, I begin sharing these words of wisdom with you. I pray these drive you to become the person that I know we can all be.
So, without further ado:
Swansonism 1: On work
"Normally, if given the choice between doing something and nothing, I'd choose to do nothing. But I will do something if it helps someone else do nothing. I'd work all night, if it meant nothing got done."

SGT Michael Thorin Oh so true!! There are far too many people with the Swansonism attitude. Others here mentioned Congress. A prime example. Thank goodness I am not one of them. Thank you for sharing my friend.
