Platoon Clerk
The 517th was a 2nd echelon Aircraft maintance unit. When I got to my new unit. It was discovered that the points for promotion had dropped while I was on leave between duty stations. I was promoted to E-5 then it was back dated. The engine department was over staffed. I was asked to fill in as the platoon clerk. I accepted the new roll. I served in that capacity till my discharge on my ETS date.

Paint shop supervisor
We were 2nd echelon aircraft maintenance unit. I served as an Aircraft power plant mech. for close to 2 years there. Having been an Automobile painter prior to enlistment I was asked to take over the paint shop when the current SGT rotated back to the lower 48. I served there till my rotation came up.
