i joined the U.S. Army in March of 2000 for college money. in Jan of 03 my unit C co 1/8 IN was gearing up for deployment in support of OIF, and my first child was born only 2 month prior. So, I re-enlisted for another two years... I loved it so much I re-enlisted for another 4, then another 6, next would have been indef, i didn't care. i gained rank fast and learned you can lose it even faster....
