Served in the 12th Signal Group located at Danang, Vietnam, from Mar 1971 to Feb 1972 as Group S-3 Operations NCOIC, and Communications Centers NCOICs in various Signal units. Completed basic Airborne class at Fort Bragg on 1 June 1973 with the 82nd Abn Div cadre. Was promoted to master sergeant E8 in August 1979, but declined promotion for subsequent retirement for personal reasons.
