Served in the 12th Signal Group located at Danang, Vietnam, from Mar 1971 to Feb 1972 as Group S-3 Operations NCOIC, and Communications Centers NCOICs in various Signal units. Completed basic Airborne class at Fort Bragg on 1 June 1973 with the 82nd Abn Div cadre. Was promoted to master sergeant E8 in August 1979, but declined promotion for subsequent retirement for personal reasons.

Dominican Republic

Worked in tactical communications in San Isidro and later as Reenlistment NCO in Santo Domingo with the 206th Signal Company, 50th Signal Battalion (Abn).
