Battalion Signal Officer

225th BSB, 2nd BCT, 25th ID, USARPAC | Schofield Barracks, HI

Served as the principle communications advisor to the 225th Brigade Support Battalion (BSB) Command Team. Planned, installed, coordinated, operated and maintained, voice and data networks via common Information Systems (IS) and Combat Net Radio systems to enable the brigade logistics battalion to effectively communicate, provide command and control to all leaders within the organization, and to allow the BSB to fulfill all requirements per the guidance of our higher Headquarters (HQ). Aligned section specific goals with that of the Battalion Commander to ensure our priorities met his intent and the intent of our higher HQ. Directly responsible and accountable for the training, welfare, and morale of 9 direct reports to include two Senior Non-Commissioned Officers.

DSST Officer in Charge in a forward-deployed Theater Signal Battalion in Afghanistan that provides operational base communications support via data centers and network distribution points to enable combat and support operations. Provides sustained network support and mission command and support to 8 Soldiers in 2 geographically separate locations and 21 Contractors. Responsible for the health, welfare, morale, training, safety, and discipline of the force.
