Recent Activity  -

Bio

My formative years working hands-on with technology have grown with the pace of innovation spanning the information age from mainframes to cloud. This foundation powered my success in Silicon Valley Marketing, as automation, SaaS, and data science have made the Marketing craft more an IT discipline than a creative art. SRB promoted to SSGT in IRR, prefer my rank on RP could be hard set to SGT.

Military Experiences

Aug 1995 - Aug 1996
MALS-16
S3 Operations NCO
Got in the best shape of my life, leading the physical conditioning platoon every weekday at 5:30AM, then bringing IT automation to the training programs by day (PFT, rifle, pistol, swim, drug screening, et. al.). Arguably my last year in the corps was my favorite year, added a 2nd NAM and leveraged that experience in transitioning to the civilian world.
Sep 1993 - Aug 1995
MALS-16
67E NCO
Executed what was required to make the Gunny SNOIC successful, earned 1st NAM. Volunteered for more than my fair share of reservist drill weekends. Returned to the shop 3 mo after 1yr in squadron S3. NCOIC for every reservist drill weekend, by this time the shop was full of Sergeants (who were happy that I volunteered).
Sep 1992 - Sep 1993
MALS-36
67E Marine
Executed what was required to make my SGT successful, earned NCO of the Quarter my first quarter as a Corporal.
Aug 1991 - Sep 1992
Technical School Student
B & C schools, rightfully treated by the Security Force Battalion devil dogs on base as a Jr. POG, even the PFCs.

Deployments

(3 months)
Feb 1995 - Apr 1995
Kernel Blitz 95
Operation Kernel Blitz 95, first in a series of bi-annual multi service exercises that continue today as Pacific Blitz, off the coast of Southern California and Camp Pendleton. Staged @ Port Hueneme aboard the SS Curtiss (T-AVB-4) as NCOIC and head of 67E shop, reuniting with Marines out of El Toro & Yuma. Gave >300 haircuts, mostly med & low regs.
