After spending 26 years as an active duty US Army Military Policeman I retired. I was hired by MPRI to work in Afghanistan as a Mentor to and trainer to the Afghanistan Army and train these Soldiers how to run a prison to control their Taliban Detainees for 5 1/2 years. In 2011 I became a PADI Divemaster and started climbing the PADI ladder to attain the Senior Certification of Course Director.

The 108th MP Co (AASLT) , 503rd MP Bn (ABN), 16th MP BDE (ABN) formed a portion of the Army Forces (ARFOR) of Joint Task Force Andrew (JTF Andrew). Altogether some 22,000 military personnel were involved in the relief efforts, making it the largest operation of its kind in US history.
