Joined the Army as a 15T in July of 2008. Attended BCT in FT Jackson, SC assigned to F Co. 2/13 INF. Attended AIT at FT Eustis, VA and graduated Distinguished Honor Grad of my class. Since completion of AIT I have averaged over 1000 hrs of ACFT maintenance per year. I am considered one of the SMEs on the UH-60 within my unit. Born in Lodi, CA raised in Jackson, CA. Lived in Castro Valley, CA for 2 years before returning to Jackson. Graduated in 2008 from Argonaut High School in Jackson, CA. Married my wife, Celeste Schmier on 27 Sep 2012. After the military I plan on going to flight school and attaining a degree in Aviation along with all FAA Rotary Wing qualifications.

Joined the unit immediately following a deployment and began training for my first deployment. 11 months later, I deployed to FOB Wolverine in support of OEF 11/12. Upon returning to FT Campbell, after reintigration, the unit went on GRF status. After GRF status, we transferred directly to predeployment training. I just recently returned early from my unit's current deployment.

Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) - Afghanistan

Worked as a UH-60A/M maintainer doing unscheduled maintenance and PMIs. As a platoon, we accomplished 32 phases, both PMI 1 and 2 and a complete reset on an ACFT after a hard landing. During this year, I performed over 1300 hours of ACFT maintenance.
