When I retired I was hired by Motorists Mutual Insurance Company, Columbus, Ohio as a District Manager for the State of Michigan. I attend 13 weeks of schooling in the field of insurance and became a licensed agent through the State of Michigan. I worked for MMIC until March 1985 when they withdrew from Michigan. I was then hired as Underwriting Manager for Southern Michigan Mutual Insurance Company which I occupied until the closed in 2003!
