Anti-Armor Section Leader

Wpns Co, 2nd Bn, 2nd Mar, 2nd MarDiv FMF | Camp Lejeune

Section Leader in a Dragon Missile Plt. During this time went to Fort Sherman Panama for the Jungle Operations Training Course and made a UDP to Okinawa. During the UDP, the Battalion conducted a SOCEx on Iwo Jima, and then sailed to Korea for Operation Team Spirit 88 and the ROK Marine Mountain Warfare package.

Infantry Squad Leader

Golf Co, 2nd Bn, 2nd Mar, 2nd MarDiv FMF | Camp Lejeune

Served as a Squad Leader in 2nd Plt. During this time, the Battalion went on a MedCruise. We trained in Spain, France, Sardinia and Turkey that year.

Left our beloved Corps looking for greener pastures. Worked on an offshore drilling rig in the North Sea, went to college and did a little cowboying for my Grandpa while I was in school. Ended up regretting this move, started missing The Corps and my friends about a week after I got out, not to mentioned it cost me a stripe when I went back on Active Duty later on.

I Co, 3/3, 3rd Marines, 3rd MARDIV | Camp Robinson, AR

Served in the Wpns Plt of a Reserve Rifle Co. Made a little school money while I was going to college, not to mention gave me my Marine "fix" while I was missing out beloved Corps. Great bunch of guys in the outfit.

Western Pacific

Deployed aboard the USS Tarawa for a WestPac Cruise. Assigned to the Battalion S3 shop, filling various duties. Served as the Force Protection Officer for the Air Combat Element while the MEU was in Jordan for Operation Infinite Moonlight. The deployment took us to Southwest Asia, the Mid-East and Southeast Asia.

Apr 1996 - Oct 1996

Western Pacific

Deployed aboard the USS Duluth for a Westpac Cruise. Served as a Rifle Platoon Sergeant, 1st Plt Alpha Co, BLT 1/4. Covered Southeast Asia, Persian Gulf Region, Mid-East. Alpha Co was the Raid Company for the battalion, 1st Plt was the Security Element for the MUE's MSPF.

Oct 1991 - Feb 1992

Japan

Deployed on UDP to Okinawa with 3rd Bn, 9th Marines. Assigned to WpnsCo, Anti-Armor Platoon. Was FAP'd out to 3rd MarDiv Training as a Jungle Warfare Instructor at Northern Training Area for the duration of the deployment.

Aug 1990 - Mar 1991

Saudi Arabia / Kuwait

Deployed to Desert Shield/Desert Storm with 3rd Bn, 9th Marines. Was an Anti-Armor Section Leader in WpnsCo. Participated in the defense of Saudi Arabia and the liberation of Kuwait.
