Bio

Before joing the Marines, I worked at a landscaping company. I enlisted and served as an AAV crewman for 4 years. After getting out I worked for a cemetery and found work with a local funeral home. From there I got licensed and have been a NJ funeral director since 2006.

Military Experiences

Sep 2002 - Dec 2002
2nd AABn
Armory Assistant
I was responsible for the inventory of personal and vehicle weapons. I assisted in scheduling maintenance on the weapons and inspected the results. Due to the importance of these weapons, I was also tasked with acting as security for them. During deployments, I logged in the weapons removed from the armory, by whom and when they were returned.
Oct 1999 - Sep 2002
2nd AABn
Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) Crewman
Responsible for the upkeep, performance and readiness of the Marine Corps' AAV vehicles. Schooled in mechanized tactics and warfare. Also schooled in the fundamentals of Amphibious warfare. Trained in the operation of communications, visual and weapon systems relating to the AAV.

Deployments

(7 months)
Apr 2001 - Oct 2001
Mediterranean
Tasked with maintaining my vehicle and having it at a constant state of readiness, my unit was attached to the 26th MEU during a Mediterranean deployment. We held joint exercises with numerous countries and I was honored to be part of the first Marine AAV unit to land aboard a Greek Amphibious ship.
