Directed training operations at a shore activity with plant and equipment of approximately $176,000,000, and annual budget of approximately $30,000,000 (in 2010 dollars). Led staff of 275 officers and enlisted men, managed six navy schools, in which over 30,000 students were trained annually in over 100 subject matter areas with technical, operational, and administrative content. Spearheaded the design, and brought to fruition, several cost-saving projects, one of which reduced average training time for junior executive personnel from nine weeks to two weeks.
