Recent Activity  -

Bio

Nearly 12 years in the US Army: Korea, Forts Lewis, Irwin and Bragg; several deployments; a strong foundation of leadership skills, and a return on investment which I hope I left many with the same skills. As a Cop I've worked Patrol, Gang Task Force and recently returned to Patrol. I am a SWAT Operator and Gang Expert. Before joining the Army, I sold cars and worked at In-N-Out Burger.

Military Experiences

Oct 2010 - Sep 2012
528th SBDE
Brigade Transportation NCOIC
Worked in numerous jobs outside my MOS which proved to be difficult yet rewarding. Deployed on an ASPO Team for support of USASOC and CJ-SOTF in OIF and OEF. Wrote Brigade SOP for Transportation and Movement Control.
Nov 2008 - Sep 2010
171st MCC
Detachment 1SG
Conducted training, prepared and deployed our Detachment in support of OIF during our 15+ month deployment. As a Staff Sergeant at the time, there were some difficulties "on ground", but my Troops and Leadership backed and supported me at all times.
Jan 2003 - Nov 2004
307th BSB
Transportation NCO
Transportation NCO at Kandahar AB in support of OEF. I readily moved equipment, personnel, and "stuff" to remote locations to support the Warfighters in their mission.
Jul 2002 - Nov 2003
21st CTC
Squad Leader
I was the Transportation NCO for 4th Platoon and conducted all movement control for our operations. During my time I also headed movement involving several ongoing Army Exercises in the Pacific.

Deployments

(3 years, 4 months)
May 2011 - Dec 2011
Afghanistan ribbon
Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) - Afghanistan
Supported every SOTF with any and all logistical needs throughout the Afghanistan area. Lots went on!
Mar 2008 - Aug 2009
Iraq ribbon
Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)
Our Team was in charge of all movement control in and around the Baghdad AO. As Detachment 1SG our mission was extremely critical to me, and many others, during combat operations we found ourselves being involved with around our AO. My Troops were the hardest working, fight on type Soldiers anyone could ask for while deployed. These Troops made it easy for me and our Commander to perform our duties as needed.
Nov 2002 - Dec 2003
Afghanistan ribbon
Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) - Afghanistan
Spent a lot of time moving equipment, gear, personnel and "stuff" in the Kandahar Province. I not only moved it, I scouted, and at times delivered "precious" cargo to unknown locations for future operations.
