Not sure I agree, but the concerns listed will need to be worked thru, if this is ever going to take root and work. We figured this out in my time time (branch) in the Army, and all was OK. So too, will everyone else if this is final directive of DOD. These are their stated concerns...
- Facility concerns
- Fears of women premenstrual syndrome
- Pregnancy concerns
- Concerns about how wives will handle it

Hmmm, I have an idea to end all war. Take 100k of women warriors and isolate them together for 6mos and they all synchronize. Turn this now ELITE and KILLER force loose on said day and they will destroy any force and eat them alive! The thought makes me cringe, I would run for my life with such a force assaulting.................. "Smirking at the thought".

COL Charles Williams Given the hypothesis that women do in fact get assigned to SF units, this is not encouraging. It says on multiple levels that they don't think the men and women can behave professionally. The SF men that I have met have been and are more focused and professional than any other. "SF men fear PMS", I think they have faced much greater fears and survived. Women who have it are likely to be able to recognize it and take whatever measures are needed to deal with it. Wives need to get over themselves, if their marriage isn't strong enough to survive their husbands being deployed in a unit with women, then it's not strong enough period. I do understand their concerns and I respect them, but I don't agree with them. The experience I have had is that the MOS doesn't matter there will always be some wives that don't like their husbands serving with women.

CPT (Join to see) Over the years I have worked with SF teams on a limited basis. The one thing I always thought was they always looked like they had things under control. If a woman in the ranks is going to upset that, then there is an issue.
Here is what I don't understand. We have women running for President. Not once has anybody, even the Donald, had the balls to say a woman is not able to be the President. You know why? Because it is not true. SF teams are deadly and can cause a lot of damage. They can't nuke a country or send us into a economic downfall that has the potential to destroy America, but a President can. So How is it possible that a female can't be capable of being SF?

SGT William Howell - SF survives by adapting to change, Women in SF and Spec Ops is a change to which the Men will adapt too and succeed. Those that fear women in combat need to re-examine their strengths.
