Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf, U.S. Commander in Gulf War, Dies at 78

One of the greatest generals of our era has passed. I always remember how fond of GEN Schwarzkopf my father was. I feel like he was the guy everyone wanted in command when the chips were down. Lots of great leadership lessons can be learned from his career. A silent prayer and toast goes out to him and his family tonight.

He was a great Leader. Makes you wonder why the decline in quality after that time.

Sir, even though this is three years old, I still upvoted the thread. He was a phenomenal leader although I never had the privilege of serving under his command. I entered the service shortly after he retired.
