The Nevada Department of Veterans Services is hoping to reach out to every veteran in the state through its advocate program, helping veterans understand the benefits they are entitled to such as tax, education and disability.
Veterans advocates are trained volunteers who link veterans to services and educate them about benefits they may be eligible for. The state has a goal of training 5,000 veterans advocates.

Great Idea. I won't hold my Breath for anything like that here in Kansas though when the State Gov't won't even fund Education Adequately which is really sad for a State that once Prided itself on it's Education.

I Think That is a great Idea. This would be another avenue for vets to get the help they need besides the VA...We all know to well how that works ! This should be implemented in all state's. To help that even further local colleges should be able to help as well with classes and so forth..
