Okay thank you for honoring the President SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL and for weighing in on the last state of the Union of the POTUS Obama administration.
In 2013, I was terminated based on an Obamacare review after 20 years of employment because my health limited what I could to. I know many people my age in similar circumstance who like me have not filed for unemployment so we are not included in the statistics.
My oldest adopted son was sentenced to 35 years at Leavenworth under sexual predatory laws which were adopted because of an apparent laxity of enforcement in 2011.
American's are less safe from terror than they were four years ago - while the level of death has not increased significantly yet it is still disturbing.
I pray for POTUS Obama and his wife Michelle like I have for each POTUS since H.W. Bush soon after I became a Christian. The Bible admonishes us to pray for our leaders that we may live peaceful and quiet lives.
I am thankful that POTUS Obama appears to have been very faithful to his wife and a loving father. He gets some of the credit for any improvements due to his bully pulpit. The bulk of the credit like always goes to the men and women of this nation who choose to persevere despite circumstances. Hopefully that trend will continue and increase and less people will be demanding handouts form our government at Federal and state level.

This isn't a dig at the President, but an unfortunate non accomplishment of his that became a HUGE accomplishment. Before him a standard had been set in regards to those running for higher office, and being black or a minority of any kind to include LGBT was not on the accepted list. Sure you could get into Congress, even SCOTUS, but definitely not a resident of the White House. With him getting the nod, he brought out the worst in some Americans, and the best in others. With him, you saw that no matter what your skin color was, you could be anything you wanted. On the flip side, the "Old Guard", finally got to see what they worked against, a black man in the White House. 15 years ago the thought of a black man in the White House would have you committed to a hospital mental ward somewhere. It's happened. Now we have two Latino's running for office. No matter what they or anyone else says Obama took that "glass ceiling" and not only smashed it, he brought in some folks to ensure it will never go up again. His tenure has been full of highs and lows, and with a congress that will go down as THE worst and most worthless EVER. That is both on the Dems and Repubs side of the isle. He came in with a dream and a hope for change. I agree with his dream, and while I don't agree with all of his change, most of it wasn't so bad after all. Hell he comes in and the whole US stops and hears 2A is in jeopardy? Problem is, he never introduced anything that would hurt or do away with it. He did push measures to tighten up gun control and ownership. Didn't stop me from buying any of mine, and they're all legal. But the benefactors of Obama will never fess up; the NRA should LOVE him. Obama gave them and the gun lobby everything they could ever want in an friendenemy, and gun sales have gone through the roof! I laugh everyday when I'm on FB and see the "come get it" or "2A for life" memes, and then you don't see unless you join them; the sites where all of these "new" weapons that HAD to have been had are now being sold, some at a major discount. I'm still looking a few more. Obama also brought race into focus. You can say what you will, but no president has ever been called what he has and it's accepted on tv, and by some on here. That's just the "mild" stuff, we won't get into the racial names he's called everyday by the internet and TV heroes. In no administration before his, had there been more minority held positions giving a chance to show what they can or cannot do. Some worked out, some didn't work. Religion became a "thing" with him. While running for office, it's acknowledged he's Christian with a questionable pastor. Years later, now he's Muslim, but never actually came out and said it, unlike where he on MANY occasions stated he's Christian. "Religious Freedom"...something else blamed on him, but he had no effect on the cake makers who refused to make that cake, he had nothing to do with Kim Davis, but he has to take that on the chin. His one serious flaw to me was his ability to overthink things, leading to drag out sessions of do nothing, when action should've been taken. I'll touch on the Navy personnel "captured" by the Iranians. On TV you have the experts saying it's an act of war and we should stop the nuke treaty and bomb them into next year. I guess those experts forgot about the Pueblo that NK STILL has and can be seen in MANY pics on Google. But I reckon that's different. President Obama to me IS a good man. He's thoughtful to a fault, I won't question his integrity being I'm not in those meetings, and I won't believe everyone else who got "fired" or "relieved" and say bad things being they're butthurt. Although some I actually do believe. I believe Obama was one of the few Presidents who had no real ties to Big Anything. And not having that allowed him certain "freedoms" that others don't or didn't have. I believe in his heart he meant to do the right thing. You'll never please everyone, and you'll always have your naysayers, but he handled them in stride. No one in his immediate family was locked up, did drugs, or was in rehab. He'll go out the same way he came in hated by many, loved by a few, and respected by many more....even those who won't admit it publicly. He'll be judged later on as all Presidents do, and I believe his actions will be found solid, the same way I think many of Bush's actions were. So to you President Obama, I wish you and your family well in retirement. I hope you stay engaged in the community, don't forget where you came from, where you went to, and how you got to both. I haven't had a President I wasn't proud to serve under, and you won't be the first in my book, but I am glad that it's your "signature" on my retirement certificates. God Speed Sir, I hope these last 12 months are better than the first 12 months of your Presidency.
I'm going to caveat my post with this, I DO NOT CARE if you don't like him. I DO NOT CARE about your political views on him. I DO NOT CARE if your kitten's feelings were hurt by him, so downvoting me on my personal beliefs that do not harm ANYONE on here, serves no purpose other than to make you look stupid (that's a nice way of saying what I want to say). If you disagree with what I said, or I got a fact wrong, please come correctly and lets discuss it as men or women. No one is perfect. If you cannot or will not, then feel free to downvote me, and kick rocks. I will not downvote you.

“No nation dares to attack us or our allies because they know that’s the path to ruin.”
As two gunboats and sailors are in Iranian hands - we just won't count this.

And ISIS dares - no count on this one either, they claim to be a "state" not a nation, so in "words" I guess there is some what truth.

I also have to ask, how come so many people and businesses are having a problem affording health care now when before obamacare they could?

One note after posting, I've heard on the news Iran has released the boats and sailors, but the Navy has yet to confirm. But the fact is still there- they did the deed.
