CPO Tim Dickey Perhaps it has something to do with regional alliances; Russia, Iran, Syria, and other shiite backed political organizations.

Since we have drawn down our forces in Europe significantly over the pat 10 years, quadrupling our defense budget for Europe would probably be less than we were spending on Europe 10 years ago in constant dollars or then year dollars CPO Tim Dickey

Most of this money is for eastern bloc NATO countries. Ironically you can do so much more with a dollar in Poland than you can in Germany about half the budget is required for the same training.
