PO2 Mark Saffell, I know exactly what you mean. I've had the issue since I hit 32, I will be 48 this May. Over the last 4 years I've spent much of my time studying the science of weight loss. One fact I've learned, dieting does not work because it's temporary. Most won't do something they don't love for very long. And they shouldn't, right? We should be able to eat the things we love, in moderation, right?

Physical activity is beneficial for weight control and critical for muscle tone, healthy heart and overall health as we age. Our meal plan is critical for all of that and more. Healthy clean food prevents most degenerative diseases.

PO2 Mark Saffell,
Do you do any physical activity?
How's your meal eating habits?
Do you drink coffee?

MSG Wally Carmichael I do 20 minutes of the treadmill 3 times a week. I don't drink coffee...That's a switch...A sailor that doesn't drink coffee...LOL and I tend to eat small portions. I believe a slower matabislm is what causes us the issue.

Get in a bit more resistance exercises either with wights high reps or your body weight. Drink lots of water. And eat clean meals at set times. Carbs early and less through out the day.

Very interesting, I thought fat was fat. I am active during the summer months, during the winter months I become less active and develop a beer belly, not much but still. Thanks for the post and information, looking forward to more.

Aloha COL Mike Humphrey That's where in home workout programs and nutrition education comes into play. I too am a beer drinker. I eat about 70% healthy and the rest what ever I want, with moderation. I've also discovered this healthy weight loss French roast coffee that really helps me keep my belly fat under control. It also gives me much better mental focus and energy than my regular Kona coffee.
