Life is simple and clear while deployed. Everyone knows what they have to do when to do it and usually not worried with the drama of life. Lines are drawn us vs them.

I completely agree with you. The military team is far more important than a Super Bowl.

MAJ Ken Landgren - in my Super Bowl, my teamates were willing to die for me and I for them. There is NO closer bond as far as I'm concerned. I mean I got to my last unit about a month out til deployment and we still had that for each other. I've been in deployed units that got new SM's, and from day 1 everyone had each others 6. There's no other type of team like it.

Simple. There you have brothers you know you can depend on. Also, the enemy there is a lot clearer.
