I am currently here at Fort Sill and have heard of many of the Soldiers transitioning into the civilian world are utilizing this program.

The guard started a similar program in 2010. I was in the first class to do it. It was called drive the guard. Unfortunately, it failed miserably. I could never get home in time for drill, the company would always give me shit about it. You can't make money since you have to come home every month for drill, most high earning drivers need to be out at least 6 weeks at a time. And finally, a few fellow soldiers got into accidents become they got in town for drill literally hours before formation and then they fell asleep at the wheel of their pov on the way to drill.

That is good news for transitioning Soldiers COL Mikel J. Burroughs. I hope that this program will be very successful.
