Quite a story A1C (Join to see); I believe something similar was also posted here recently about him. I was goingt o say he should have had his Purple Heart given back but then I read later in your article that it was, unfortunately after he had died. You have to give him a hell of a lot of credit to even think about joining at that age and then to pull it off. He never should have been thrown in the brig. I really think they should name a ship after him!

Naming a ship after him would be cool and well deserved.

Awesome history lesson. This veteran here was a real hero and a little boy. He did amazing thing and adapted and over came everything that got in his way. I'm happy that they finally gave him everything that he deserved.

A1C (Join to see) - It would of been great if he could of got it while he was alive. I don't see why they stripped him of his medals anyway. He did his service although he was to young to serve, if it wasn't for him more people would of lost there lives. Since they blamed him for lying to get in because he was to young, they should of punish the recruiter for not investigating him more if he thought he was to young, the dentist who knew how old he was by his exam on his teeth but the dentist didn't want to go they the hassle of proving his finding. I can't believe he got thrown in the brig in stead of just discharging him. If he was to young to serve he was really to young to be in the brig. He is still a hero in my book. How if they gave him a dishonorable discharge did he enlist in the Marine Corps? I guess they need people so bad they didn't care what there back ground record look like.
