The Joint Task Force supporting and training the Iraqi military is facing a question of whether or not the members of the Iraqi Army will stay in place and continue their on the ground fight against ISIL. This is the largest problem in retaking Mosul. The Iraqi regulars lack morale and unit cohesion. "One week ago Iraqi soldiers abandoned their base, which forced the United States to send in more Marines in support, and one of them was killed. Again this time, Iraqi army soldiers almost completely deserted their positions, fearing an ISIS response to their artillery when, in reality, not one mortar shell or bullet hit close to their positions."
An Iraqi SGT said, the Iraqi Soldiers deserted their positions because they were afraid, "mostly because of their heavy use of sniper fire and of IEDS."

We need to cut sling load, pack our crap and give them a phone number to call when they get their sh*t together. It'll be $1Trillion the first minute, and $10Billion every other minute, and the rates aren't cheaper at night, and no free weekends. Each call will average 11 minutes. This is where I agree with Trump. You want us? No problem. But we're NOT going to come cheaply. And no Big Oil you cannot pass the costs onto us.

I believe it's safe to assume that Iraqis aren't particularly invested in their government, the right of big oil to steal crude or our willingness to stay in it for the long haul.
