So, I was browsing YouTube and finally found the Discovery Channel documentary I co-starred in back in 1992; Submarines: Sharks of Steel. Check out Episode 2 - In the Belly of the Beast. About 17 minutes and 40 seconds in you'll see this guy being told he's going into a room on 'fire'.

That is a great title: Sharks of Steel CPO Tim Dickey to refer to submarines. I am glad that Discovery Channel seems to be honoring those who serve in submarines.

LTC Stephen F. I was amazed that I found these clips posted. It seemed like the series was lost after it's initial airing in the '90's.

CPO Tim Dickey - I am glad you were able to find them. It is amazing how much good information there is on the world wide web.
FYI I tagged you on some historical posts about the US Civil War. I didn't know if you were interested in that conflict or not.

I enjoy history and thanks for tagging me on the Civil War posts, LTC Stephen F.. In fact, from purely an academic viewpoint, the Civil War was one of the most heroically fought conflicts in our country's history. Both sides had very strong beliefs about their cause and were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to see their side win. I wish we had that sort of moral courage today.
