I just thought you might all care to know, the whole episode is sometimes referred to as "The Railway Worker's War," at least that's how I've seen it mentioned it when I'd learned of it some time back.

Thanks for reminding us of how the USA supported the White Russian's in 1918 in PO1 William "Chip" Nagel. We supported them in the west along the rivers and protecting the railroads - Guarding the Railroad, Taming the Cossacks. MG William S. Graves who commanded the 8th US Army Division learned that his mission had changed and went to Siberia.
Every soviet student learned that the USA sent an army to fight against the Bolsheviks while most students in the USA had no idea we had American troops in Russia from 1918 to 1920.
