Back in 1985 when I got out the only thing they wanted back was my greasy field jacket, got to keep 4 sets of dress uniforms and all my fatigues. Never could figure that out.

I heard they shut this down at Ft. Jackson as well. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm a reservist and I was attending the Drill Sergeant Academy last summer. Since I was a reservist I didn't get a new issue like the active duty guy/gals. Instead I got to go to the Reclamation Sale. I was able to buy some decent uniforms and stuff for dirt cheap. So now all the reservists who go to Drill Sergeant school are going to get screwed again. We ruin uniforms on the trail, it's a fact. Crawling through orange dirt and mud ruins this crappy ACU uniform. We reservists don't get a clothing allowance either. So once again we get screwed over.

CSM Michael Poll - DX in the reserves is kind of a myth these days. Funding plays a huge part in getting uniforms. I guess it depends on your unit. The only time getting uniforms was easy was during deployments. KYLOC was awesome. I've spent a lot of money in the reserves and it shouldn't be that way.

Another avenue is that if you keep your receipts for anything you spend for Military use, you can write off on your taxes. I will have to call my old S4 on this seems like this was an easy turn in old and they order new tho. Ill let you know the response I get
